New Ketua Kampong For Limau Manis

Bandar Seri Begawan - Penghulus and Ketua Kampongs need to be vigilant, sharp-witted and ready to cooperate efficiently with the security agencies and relevant authorities in order to keep a close watch on any illegal or immoral activities that are happening in a village.

This was said yesterday by Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji Belaman, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, during the presentation of a Certificate of Appointment' to the new Limau Manis Ketua Kampong.

The new ketua kampong, Awang Haji Mohimin bin Johari, will be responsible for the welfare of some 1,800 residents in the Limau Man is village.

Urging residents to cooperate with the new ketua kampong, Dato Paduka Haji Idris also highlighted the need to maintain the cleanliness of Limau Manis to promote a better tourism image.

On hand to witness the certificate presentation was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Adanan bin Haji Hanifiah, Brunei-Muara District Officer.

Also present for the day was Awang Jamain bin Momin, Brunei-Muara Deputy District Officer, and Mukim Pengkalan Batu Penghulu Awang Haji Tahir bin Haji Tarip.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
