Over 600 Attend UBD’s Open Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - Over 600 people flocked to Universiti Brunei Darussalam's (UBD) Annual `Study at UBD' event on Thursday and Friday, making it the most popular Open Day the University has held to date.

Eager visitors began pouring in as soon as the event opened its doors to the general public on Thursday. .

The majority of visitors praised staff for being well organised, friendly and helpful, saying that those involved in the event made them feel very welcome.

Others commented on the facilities at the University and said the campus was well laid-out and extremely pleasant.

Visitors ranging from parents, students and teachers from secondary schools, colleges as well as individuals from the public and private sectors had the opportunity to find out more about the University's current undergraduate, postgraduate and open programmes through a series of displays, demonstrations, workshops and talks.

After 20 years of dedication in improving the quality of higher education in the Sultanate, UBD hoped that the upcoming semester would see a larger intake, with students who could potentially be the nation's future leaders. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
