Crown Prince Witnesses US Aircraft

Begawan - His Royal Highness the Crown Prince General Pg Muda
Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Deputy Sultan, yesterday afternoon
witnessed a static display of the C-130J aircraft currently in Brunei
in conjunction with the C-130J Technical and Product Exhibition.
Upon arrival at the royal annex, His
Royal Highness was greeted by Pg Sanggamara Diraja Major General (R)
Pg Hj lbnu Ba'asith, the Acting Minister of Defence; Pehin Datu
Inderasugara Brigadier-General Awg Hj Yusof, Acting Royal Brunei Armed
Forces Commander; Mr Gene Buri Christy, US Ambassador to Brunei; Awg
Hj Mohd Said, the Acting Permanent Secretary for Policy and
Administration at the Ministry of Defence; the Deputy Permanent
Secretary at the Ministry of Defence; and, the manager of the
aircraft's manufacturing company.
Also present was Pehin Dato Paduka
Awg Hj Hazair, the Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office.
During the visit, HRH boarded the
C-130J aircraft to take a closer look at the facilities and equipment
available in the aircraft whilst being briefed by the aircraft pilot
on the aircraft's profile and operational function.
HRH's visit concluded with a mingling
session and high tea with senior government officers as well as
officers of the aircraft's manufacturing company.
HRH also consented to receive a "Pesambah"
from a US Embassy representative. --
