Minister Scrutinizes Projects In
Tutong District
Tutong
- Pehin Dato Awang Haji Adanan, the Acting Minister of Home
Affairs, yesterday took a closer look into the development of projects
under the Tutong District Office and Municipal Department during a
working visit to Tutong District.
His visit also aimed to take a closer
look at the management and administration of departments under the
ministry.
Pehin
Dato Awang Haji Adanan first visited the Immigration and National
Registration Department.
The department is responsible in
processing applications of identity card, passport, visa, working and
social visit. It is also responsible in the registration of birth,
death and adoption.
He then visited the site of one of
the projects being handled by the Tutong District Office such as the
construction of a Banquet Hall and Balai Pengadapan.
The two new buildings are for Royal
Events such as the get-together ceremony with His Majesty.
Later, Pehin took a closer look at
the temporary tamu located near the Tutong Civic Centre.
The permanent site for the tamu,
meanwhile, has already been planned but it has yet to be developed.
Pehin
also visited the Tutong fish market and Pantai Seri Kenangan.
At the end of the working visit, he
toured the site of the new housing block for government officers.
Accompanying him throughout the visit
was Awang Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali, the Assistant Tutong District
Officer, and other senior government officials.
