Religious Fetes Mark Crown
Prince’s Birthday

Begawan - Three separate Doa Kesyukuran ceremonies in
conjunction with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Haji Al Muhtadee
Billah's birthday anniversary were held last night.
The Ministry of Education held the
function at the University Brunei Darussalam's Mosque.
Among those present was Pehin Dato
Haji Awang Abd Aziz, the Minister of Education.
A mass maghrib and Isyak prayers as
well as recitation of the surah Yaasin were held.
Meanwhile, the Royal Brunei Armed
Forces held a similar occasion at the Surau of the Bolkiah Garison in
Berakas.
Present at the function were Pehin
Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, the Acting
Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Awang Haji Mohamad Said,
the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, and the
Deputy Permanent Secretaries.
The congregation performed mass
Maghrib prayer and recited the surah yassin.
The Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
Foundation as Secretariat of the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee
Billah Orphans Fund also held a doa kesyukuran ceremony to mark the
birthday anniversary of the Crown Prince.
The function began with a mass
maghrib prayer, followed by the recitation of the surah yassin, doa
kesyukuran and isyak prayer.
Among those in the congregation were
members of the Foundation's Board of Governance and the Board of
Directors as well as members of the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee
Billah Orphan Fund Board of Trustees.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince
Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah was born on the 17th of February 1974 at
Istana Nurul Hana, Bandar Seri Begawan. --
