Rolls Royce Club to tour Borneo
By Rosli Abidin Yahya
Around 80 members of Rolls Royce
Enthusiasts' Club from the United Kingdom will arrive in Brunei
Darussalam on March 7, on their way to Sarawak and Sabah.
The tour aims to promote tourism and
the British luxurious vehicles to the population in Borneo. Apart from
that, the tour will also be collecting funds for charity organisations
in Brunei, Sabah and Sarawak.
The Tour of Borneo 2005 will arrive
in Miri on March 6.
A one-day exhibition of various
models of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars is to take place at the car
park of Boulevard Shopping Centre in Miri from 11am to 3.30pm.
Members of the public are welcome to
view the exotic models for free.
It is not known whether the club will
be holding a similar exhibition in Brunei Darussalam.
The 20-day journey will commence from
Kuching in Sarawak and will end at Kota Kinabalu in Sabah.
The club will be stopping over at all
major towns in the three countries.
A similar journey was made in 2001
touring the Peninsular Malaysia.
