Big Makan Briefing At Sheraton

Begawan - Vendors participating in this year's Big Makan Food
Festival were briefed yesterday afternoon at Sheraton Utama Hotel on
the rules and regulations for the three-day event next week.
More than 30 participants from
various hotels, restaurants, companies and SMEs attended the
briefing held by the Brunei Association of Hotels.
The briefing was aimed at informing
participants on the rules and regulations, as well as the assignment
of booths and matters regarding the layout and programme at the
event.
Highlighted by Brunei Tourism,
Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources in their event calendar
for Brunei Darussalam, the Big Makan Food Festival will be
officially launched on February 25.
Pehin
Dato (Dr) Hj Awg Hussain bin Pehin Dato Hj Awg Mohd Yussof, the
Minister of Culture, Youth & Sports, will launch the event.
The food festival is aimed at
raising public awareness of what hotels in the Sultanate have to
offer.
The event will see an assortment of
cuisines, both local and foreign, at affordable prices, particularly
food that is prepared by hotels.
The event will also encourage
networking and a healthy information exchange regarding the local
food industry.
For those interested in
participating in the food festival, the deadline is February 19 at
noon.
To date, 78 booths have been taken
by organisations and companies participating in the event. --
