Local Photographers Invited To Join `Faces Of Brunei'

Bandar Seri Begawan - Local photographers are encouraged to participate in the ongoing 2005 `Faces of Brunei' Photography Competition.

Rakan Tiga Media and Crisnobel Communications jointly organised and managed the contest.

Entry forms are now available at all Guan Chuan Photo/Konica Minolta outlets, the sponsor of the competition. The forms were made available during a launching ceremony held at Guan Chuan Photo Studio in Sri Complex yesterday.

The competition will be divided into two categories, Films and Digital.

The first, second and third prize winners of `Films' will each receive $350, $200 and $150 respectively as well as a Konica Minolta digital camera and a certificate of participation.

Meanwhile, the best entry in the Digital category will receive a Konica Minolta digital camera and a certificate of participation.

An exhibition gallery is to be set up and managed by Rakan Tiga Media/Crinobel, showcasing the best photos of winners.

The objective is to create awareness on the art of local photography.

The venue for the exhibition would be announced at a later date.

In an effort to upgrade the level of professionalism of local photographers, a book would be published in conjunction with the `Faces of Brunei' competition, which would comprise of photos of the winning entries.

All entries should be forwarded to the organiser by March 28 at Unit 4, Block D, 1st floor, Shakirin Complex, Kiulap.
