11 Marine Police Officers Get Promotions

Bandar Seri Begawan - Eleven Marine Police officers have been promoted to various ranks effective January 1, 2005.

The ceremony to present the letters of appointment was held yesterday at the Marine Police in Muara.

The letters of appointment were presented by the chief guest, Supt. Azahari bin Haji Awg. Besar, the Commanding Officer of Marine Police.

He earlier inspected a parade by 53 Marine Police personnel.

Leading the list of recipients is 695 Hj.Bidin bin Tarif, who has been promoted from S/Sgt to Sergeant Major. Four personnel promoted from Sergeant to Staff Sergeant were 82 Haji Abu Bakar bin Hj. Metali, 212 Haji Wahab bin Jalil, 572 Haji Mohammad bin Hj. Samsu and 613 Suhaili bin Haji Duraman.

Two personnel, 34 Haji Suhaili bin Hj. Abd Hamis and 999 Mohd. Jaya bin Basri, have been promoted from CPL to Sergent. Four personnel, 2572 Sinchun Ak Sinau, 2815 Hamdani Bin Haji Mohd. Daud, 2873 Kirah Ak Linyung and 2904 Abd. Rashid bin Tahir, have been promoted from Lance Corporal to Corporal.
