3P Association Choir Holds Rehearsals For National Day

Bandar Seri Begaswan - More than 50 young people from the 3P Association showed their patriotism by gathering at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) Complex in Berakas yesterday morning to practice their choir performance for the 21st National Day celebrations.

Scheduled to take place in the morning of Feb. 23 at the Taman Sir Muda Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien, the group has been practising their vocals under the guidance of local trainer Abdul Awang, a member of the singing sensation Crescendo.

3P is an association of musicians, dancers and singers led by Hj Sumadi Sukairni, the Acting Director of DBP.

The choir group, comprising of young singers who are working or still studying, has been practising at DBP for the past week.

The group will be singing some ten patriotic songs, including Brunei Bumi Bertuah, Tekad Kemerdekaan, Tanah Airku, Purih Bangsa, Sumpah dan Janji, Berkebarlah Bendera, l984 Berdaulat dan Merdeka, Merdeka Negaraku, as well as the national anthem, Allah Peliharakan Sultan. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
