Local Teenagers Remanded For Stealing Metal Pipes

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 17-year-old youth and two local men who allegedly stole several pieces of metal pipes were remanded at the Central Police Station for a week for further investigations.

The trio, Safwan bin Adi, 18, Md Shukri bin Hj Mahadi, 23, and the youth appeared before the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday.

They were facing a charge of committing theft of four pieces of metal pipes on February 11 this year at about 3am in the vicinity of Kampong Pengkalan Gadong.

It is an offence punishable under section 379 of the Penal Code that carries an imprisonment term of up to 3 years, or fine, or both. All three will appear before the same court again on Feb 19. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
