Pusat Ehsan Special Children Get Chinese New Year Treat

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) in Brunei yesterday hosted a Chinese New Year lunch for Pusat Ehsan centre members at Fratini's RMS Portview Restaurant in the capital.

Accompanying the special children/people of Pusat Ehsan were the centre's manager, Pg Hj Tajuddin Pg Md Yassin, and staff members.

Representative of TECRO Dr James Chen noted that since he assumed his post 16 months ago, he noticed Pusat Ehsan is a respectable institute with great mission to provide care and assistance to special people in need, receiving many supporters in the country.

Along with his wife, he believes the lunch they hosted marks a good beginning and they look forward to doing more to support Pusat Ehsan in the future.

Dr James and his wife also presented `lucky bags' to the special children/ people in need. They were handed over to Pg Hj Tajuddin on behalf of Pusat Ehsan members.

TECRO represents Taiwan, ROC in Brunei, to promote economic, cultural and other cordial relationships between the people of Brunei and Taiwan.

Dr James said Taiwan, being a successful model of political democratisation and economic development in the region, has been willing to not only share its experiences of economic development with all members in the global village but also render assistance to international friends in need.

Yesterday's lunch marked another joyous event for Pusat Ehsan members and made them feel not left out during the festive season.
