WHO Sejati Offers 10-Minute
Remittance Service Promotion
By Achong Tanjong
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Who Sejati Remittance Co, a global remittance
company in Brunei, announced a new product promotion covering five
countries in south and south East Asia.
Awg
Ismail Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman, the company chairman, said
WHO can send or receive money in 10 minutes to the Philippines,
Indonesia, Thailand, India and Bangladesh. "We are a community-based
business," he added.
For a minimum $10 service charge,
remitters can enjoy the highest rates, said Rodolfo G. Marcelo, IPHO
Sdn Bhd Deputy Chairman.
He added that recently the Filipino
Association in Brunei remitted a $5,000 worth insurance claim
through the company to the beneficiaries.
The insurance policy holder died in
an accident in Kuala Belait last year. The deceased, Ivuramalia
Abdullah alias Alicia G. Gaoiran, 42, a domestic helper, was insured
with MBA Insurance Co. Sdn. Bhd.
In minutes, WHO can also send money
to or receive money from US, Asia, Europe, Africa, Middle East,
South Asia and other countries, he added.
Under the Money Gram promotion, the
10-minute remittance service involves an international money
transfer done over the counter in accredited banks, WHO said.
This service is different from
IPHO's bank-to-bank transactions, which take three working days.
In the Philippines, Money Gram can
be collected personally by the beneficiary at the Equitable-PCI
Bank, RCBC, Bank of Commerce and at any post offices. --
