Water sporting, jungle trekking activities for youths

Youths who are up for some jungle trekking will soon get their break thanks to the Youth and Sports Department.

Interested individuals can get their hands on the necessary application form for the February 27 jungle trekking and community service activities by heading to the Youth Centre in the capital.

Application forms must be submitted to the Centre not later than February 24, during office hours. For further information, contact 2221028/2222900 (ext 57) or visit www.bruneiyouth.org.bn

Meanwhile, youths between the ages of 16 and 20 years are invited to take on the challenging sport of canoeing.

Through the activity, the Bandar Seri Begawan Canoeing Club at the Youth Centre aims to produce healthier youths, as it serves to provide an enjoyable pastime for the youngsters.

Through this, participants will also discover the correct technique to canoeing.

To join the club, one must be either a citizen or permanent resident of Brunei Darussalam, in addition to being both physically and mentally fit.

Application forms are obtainable from Bandar Seri Begawan Canoe Club Co-ordinator Aznin bin Haji Tahir or by contacting 2221028/ 2222900 (ext 97). The forms must be attached with two passport-sized photos, certificate of eligibility and certificate of achievements.
