PEMODA Motor Show For A Good Cause

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Darussalam Motorcycle Association (PEMODA) over the weekend held a charity event in the Tutong District.

The motor show was part of PEMODA's effort to raise fund for the Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund.

Awg. Hariel Haji Simpol, Relation Secretary of PEMODA, who is also the Collection Chairman for PEMODA Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund, said they received a cheque of B$2,000 from Panca Mega Co. Sdn. Bhd and they collected B$ 2,665.62 in the charity drive held in the Tutong District.

He said the association will continue to hold similar events in Kuala Belait this week and in the Temburong District during the following weeks. Proceeds from these activities will be channelled to the National Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund.

Meanwhile, more than B$75,000 have been raised through three separate walkathons held in the Brunei-Muara, Tutong and Belait Districts over the weekend. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
