Bandar Seri Begawan – The sound management of endowment, tithe and haj affairs in Brunei has impressed the Endowment, Tithe and Haj Department of Malaysia Prime Minister's Office whose officials are currently in the country for a three-day working visit.

The Malaysian delegation, led by Datuk Haji Abdullah bin Haji Yatim, the Deputy Head of Secretaries at the Prime Minister's Office, made a visit to the Ministry of Religious Affairs yesterday.

Datuk Haji Abdullah said his department has chosen to study the three fields in Brunei because it has a strong history and management system in the areas of endowment, tithe and Haj affairs.

Besides, he added, the Endowment, Tithe and Haj Department of the Malaysian Prime Minister's Office was established only six months ago.

This is important in order to extol and dignify the Islamic community, which is currently facing various challenges.
