Temburong Students To Join National Day Celebration For First Time

Temburong – Some 75 students of the Sultan Hassanal Secondary School here will take part for the first time in the marching event of the 20th National Day celebration to take place on February 23.

The students have been rehearsing for the past three weeks.

Besides the students, civil servants and government employees in the district will also be involved in the celebration.

Despite numerous problems faced by these participants, including transportation to Bandar Seri Begawan, their spirit remains high and they will be making every effort to turn up for the National Day celebration.

A number of students expressed their happiness for their participation in the marching event. One of them, Awang Jeli Chuat, said the spirit of nationalism needs to be upheld.

Dayang Hanimah binti Bakar said she feels glad to take part in the marching event for the first time.

Meanwhile, Dayang Janis Wong told Radio Television Brunei (RTB) that she would like to give her best performance on the night of the celebration.
