By Azaraimy HH

The final stage of implementation of DSTCom's multimillion-dollar Evolution GPRS/EDGE project is on good track, and the public is hereby informed to expect a minor system interruption to the GSM services both for Prima and Easi commencing on February 19, 2004.

DSTCom told the bulletin yesterday that the long awaited project to provide GPRS/EDGE services to Brunei is nearing its completion, which will be available for both Prima and Easi lines, but reiterated there will be a minor interruption starting Thursday, as they will be doing a system migration to their Easi Prepaid system for the upcoming GPRS/EDGE system.

It will be carrying out the project's final stage of implementation from its current system to an 'Intelligent Network' as part of its services expansion in providing quality service, DSTCom said.

With DSTGroup's aspiration towards excellence, DST Communication Sdn Bhd would like to announce to its valued customers that this migration exercise will cause a minor interruption to the GSM service both for Prima and Easi.

Due to this migration, there will be a temporary unavailability of Voice and SMS service commencing on February 19 2004. Interruption will include Voice, IDD/095, SMS and 159 for Easi services at certain times of the day. They will also be minor interruption (temporary unavailability) for Prima line SMS services on certain duration of the day (4am to 7pm).
