Girl Guides Holds Council Meeting

Bandar Seri Begawan – Reports concerning activities and development of the Brunei Darussalam Girl Guides Association for 2001-2003 sessions were discussed at a close session meeting yesterday.

The meeting also heard the financial report from the Honorary Treasurer and approved the appointments of new council members of the association for 2004 to 2006 sessions.

The Brunei Girl Guides Association is an active organisation making contributions towards the social and economic development not only of its members but also of the community as a whole.

Present at the meeting was Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, the Association's President who also chaired the Council Meeting.

As an organization, the country's Girl Guides Association comprises of girls and young women with a responsibility of looking after the welfare of its members, especially in helping them to cope with the increasingly complex and consistently changing demands of life in modern society.
