Swedish Monarch Visit Bolsters Brunei-Sweden Ties

Bandar Seri Begawan – The diplomatic relations between Brunei and Sweden are expected to be further enhanced with the visit of the Swedish Monarch to Brunei.

Their relations have always been friendly since its establishment in 1984.

Radio Television Brunei (RTB) spoke to Mr Teppe Tauriainen, non-resident Ambassador of Sweden to Brunei Darussalam, about the relationship of the two countries.

Mr Teppe Tauriainen stated that there is still space for further enhancement of diplomatic relations.

Although the business relationship between Brunei and Sweden may not be extensive, there are still a number of Swedish companies operating in Brunei such as Volvo, Saab and Electrolux to name a few.

He also hopes that this visit will spur further cooperation between Brunei and Sweden, not just in the fields of business and tourism but hopefully in other areas as well. -- Courtesy of Radio Television Brunei
