Another Italian job

Brunei's first authentic Italian
restaurant, Fratini's, offers a fusion of dishes to compensate for
western and Asian tastes, and makes a difference, said its executive
chef.
"I am creative, innovative, I prepare
something different, so customers will always remember Fratini's
always makes the difference," said Maurizio Intrigila. He opened the
restaurant a few years back, took leave, and is back for eight months
now.
"Fratini's Restaurant is offering a
30 per cent discount on take-away and pick-up orders, for pasta and
pizza only, from 2 pm to 6 pm, at its three outlets," Executive Chef
Maurizio said.
"Taste the true Italian pizza from La
Nostra Pizzeria prepared by Bruneian cooks.
"I recommend Il Calzone with chef's
secret recipes. It's really folded pizza with mushroom, beef salami,
onion, tomato and cheese. Pizza Marinara has mixed seafood and oregano
and mozzarella cheese, Vegetariana has mixed grilled vegetables and
tomato, Salmone has smoked salmons, onions, capers and tomatoes, while
Toni e Cupola has tuna, onions, chili and tomato. There are 13 pizza
choices
"There are 17 choices of home made
pasta, with mixed seafood or smoked salmon, spaghetti, layered pasta
(lasagna), anchovies with spicy tomato sauce (Fusilier allay
poutiness), mussels, crab, clams, prawn, squid and anchovies,
(Linguine Farina).
"Our February special is classic
Sicilian eggplant tossed in a sweet and sour dressed served with warm
grilled chicken and balsamic dressing all around the plate for
appetizer. First course is linguine saffron, tossed in a sauce of nine
prawn tails, plum tomatoes, capers, fresh basil, onions and saffron.
Main course is pan-fried grouper with almonds, onions, garlic, fresh
parsley and tomato sauce. It is served with boiled potatoes and
spinach leaves tossed in anchovies oil," Executive Chef Maurizio said.
