Job Placement Made Easier In
Government Offices
Bandar Seri
Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei has consented to the
establishment of Personnel Board at ministries.
The board will enable the Public
Service Commission to fill up vacancies in Divisions 3, 4 and 5, which
are not in the same category, and to take disciplinary actions in
public service on staff and officers in Group 1 downwards.
The Prime Minister's Office
Curricular Reference B-404, 2003 outlined the responsibility of the
board, the procedure as well as the guidelines in managing
disciplinary action.
This was stressed by the Permanent
Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Dato Haji Hazair at a
briefing on the process of recruiting staff and handling disciplinary
action yesterday.
Dato Haji Hazair also said that the
establishment of the board at every ministry would serve as the
handing over of job and management responsibilities in filling up
vacancies in the public service and in effecting disciplinary action,
which was previously carried out by the Public Service Commission.
With effective management at
ministries and departments, the public service administration will
function optimally in accordance to plans by the ministry or
department concerned.
From the applicants' point of view,
this will help lessen the disappointment for the long wait and result.
