A Friskies Cats Show, a karaoke
competition and a children's colouring contest are among the
highlights of the National Day Carnival Bazaar 2003 event which
began yesterday. The bazaar, which runs till March 2, 2003, is
being held at the Setia Kenangan Shopping Mall in Kiulap.
Ranging from SME (small and
medium enterprise) products and local handicrafts, to fashion
accessories and furniture as well as dried foods displayed by
about 30 local entrepreneurs, the bazaar is expected to attract
large crowds. Happy Time Bouncers have also put up a wide range
of bouncers and provided mascots to greet and entertain children
coming to the bazaar.
Also scheduled to take place is
an "In person" session with 2 popular local Hip Hop
groups, namely M & C and Inviziblz.
The groups will entertain the
crowd with an energetic performance of their latest hits.
Local youth group "Urban
Touches" is also expected to give an exclusive performance.
The bazaar, organised by
Digital Snail Solutions, opens from 9 am to 10 pm daily, while
the performances are scheduled for today from 3pm to 5 pm by M
& C and from 8pm to 10pm tomorrow by Inviziblz and Urban
Touches.
