Sunday market this March 2, 2003. The market will be held every
week starting from 6.30 am to 10.00 am.
The Sunday market is an
opportunity for customers to buy fresh local and imported
vegetables of various kinds. These include lotus roots, chinese
leeks, dried chestnuts, celery, snow peas, sweet peas, potatoes,
china flower, sweet cabbage, mushroom, kailan and carrots. Local
vegetables produced by the Tiong Hin farm like tomatoes, green
cucumbers, bitter-gourds, long beans, water melons, red and
green chillies will also be sold at the market.
According to the manager of the
store, the imported vegetables are from China, Malaysia and Hong
Kong . She said, the products sold are much cheaper than those
of other supermarkets. Apart from that, they will also be
selling fresh seafood, chicken and fruits.
The Tiong Hin Sunday market has
received an overwhelming response from customers, especially
since its establishment several years ago at Tiong Hin Manggis
