The Permanent Secretary at the
Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Dani Hj

at the Taman Hj Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital.
The flag was lowered by

The Taman was the scene of the
highlight of the 19th National Day Celebration on 23rd February
2003, which showcased the theme for this year's celebration,
" Bangsa Berilmu, Negara Maju", adding cheer to the
colourful extravaganza.
A parade by 10,000
participants, a field performance of a sketch entitled
"Symphony of Independence" and presentation of
"Highly Spirited, Educated and Hardworking Youth" as
well as patriotic songs and poetry presentation were among the
highlights of the mass gathering to mark the national day.
