Twenty pupils from religious schools and Arabic preparatory
schools in the Temburong district yesterday competed in the
final of Quran competition for religious schools in the
district, RTB reported.
Awang Mohd Zulizam bin Zaini
from the Sultan Hashim Batu Apoi Primary School and Dayang
Amalina binti Tuah from Selangan Religious School won in
Category A. Awang Syafiq Iskandar from Senukoh Religious School
and Dayangku Rafiana binti Pengiran Sahudin from the Temburong
Arabic Preparatory School won in Category B.
The winners will represent
Temburong in the national level Quran reading competition for
religious and Arabic preparatory schools which will be held
later.
Meanwhile, Awang Mohd Raziq
Raziqin bin Abdullah and Dayang Nurbaizillah bin Bahar emerged
champion in the final of the religious oratory competition in
the Temburong district. They defeated eight other contestants.
Mohd Raziq represented the
Senukoh Religious School. Nurbaizillah represented Selangan
Religious School.
They will represent Temburong
district in the semi-final of the national level religious
oratory competition to be held March 10.
