Flight Safety Programme Highlights RBAF's Flying Commitments

Bandar Seri Begawan - The flying commitments of Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAF) have increased tremendously over the years, in terms of volume, diversity of missions and demand of capability.

Col Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force, made this disclosure when he officiated at the launch of Flight Safety Awareness Programme 2003 yesterday.

He said these developments mark a turning point for the Royal Brunei Air Force.

"Aside from the need to manage the resources more effectively and efficiently, this development also demands greater emphasis on flight safety," he said.

The RBAF commander also said that the objective of the programme is to educate and train people by organising a series of lectures on flight safety at wing and squadron levels.

More than 50 members of the Royal Brunei Air Force involved themselves in the day-long Flight Safety Awareness Programme 2003 yesterday.
