The Information Department received a courtesy visit by 20
officials from Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Masna secondary school
yesterday, which comprised the School's Principal, Deputy
Assistants, Senior Education officers and Administrative
officers.
The Acting Director of the
Information Department, Awang Haji Bujang bin Haji Masu'ut, was
on hand to welcome the group and later delivered a speech.
During his speech, he said that
for the past few years, the Information Department and Pengiran
Anak Puteri Masna school had shared a good relationship. He also
urged for the need to explore more co-operative areas for the
benefits of both parties.
He went on to add that the
school's administration plays an important role in shaping
students' character through counselling and activities for the
students' development.
Guidance with appropriate
patriotic fundamentals and respect for the law is needed to help
students to get rid of the negative elements and social illness
from time to time.
"It is within the
Department's mission to assist schools in improving their
research, regional projects that cultivate patriotic spirits and
excellence in religion, community and nation", the Acting
Director added.
A briefing was presented by
Awang Azman bin Haji Abdul Rahim on the Department's history,
vision, mission, goals and organisation structure.
It was followed with a question
and answer session and a group photo session.
The school's Principal,
Pengiran Hajah Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Kamaluddin said that
the visit to the Information Department was part of their annual
trip to government departments in the country. With such visits,
the schools' administrative officials will surely gain valuable
knowledge and information.
It is hoped that the officers'
will contribute and implement their experience into their school
system for the students' benefit.
