Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)
yesterday morning presented certificates to participants as well
as winners of their Clean and Green Week Campaign colouring
competition held at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
Primary School.
SCB Head of Corporate Affairs,
Tengku Putra Muhammad Harris Fadzillah, who presented the
certificates to the 26 participants as well as prizes to the
four winners, thanked the principal, Dyg Hjh Halimah Hj Maidin
for giving SCB the opportunity to join in for the presentation.
Student Dk Musfiran Pg Zainurin
won herself a SONY DVD model DVP-PQ1 as first prize while a
Nokia 3610 (second prize) and a Canon IXUS M-1 (third prize)
were awarded to students, Ainul Azzura Hj Mohd Jaya and Dk
Aliyah Pg Hj Zaini respectively. The consolation prize of a SONY
VCD player model D-VE45 was awarded to Siti Nazirah Hj Abdullah.
From the drawings, the bank
printed 5000 copies of poster calendars and delivered them to
the Ministry of Education, represented by Acting Director of
Schools, Dyg Apsah Hj Abdul Majid, for distribution to all
government and private schools throughout the Sultanate.
Promoting "Keep
Clean" awareness to schools targeted at primary students
were part of the objectives of the campaign, an initiative by
SCB as part of its global effort to be environmentally friendly.
