Ten travel agents from the United
Kingdom arrived in Brunei Darussalam on Tuesday, to promote the
Sultanate to the people of United Kingdom.
The arrival of these travel
agents was organised by Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) in an effort
to promote the nation's tourism industry as well as to provide a
better product and service knowledge to travel agents in RBA
destinations.
Representing Jetset, Flight
Centre, Bridge the World, Kuoni, Austravel, Unijet, Lotus Group,
Thomas Cook and STA agency, the travel agents will be staying at
The Empire Hotel and Country Club for three days, before
commencing on with their journey to Sabah.
RBA organised a welcoming
dinner for the travel agents on the night of their arrival,
where the Director of Marketing, Hj Omarali Hj Mohd Daud and
Chua Chin Hwa, Head of Sales for RBA were present.
According to RBA, the airlines
has an average of 10,000 passengers every month, mostly
passengers making their way to the United Kingdom from Australia
or vice-versa.
During their three-day stay in
Brunei, the travel agents will have a closer look at the
Belalong Rainforest Safari Tour in Temburong and the Water
Village "Kampong Ayer", where they will discover the
country's amazing environment with walks, "Fun River"
travels, spectacular views and taste of local delicacies.
