A campaign to educate the primary
students on the danger of drugs abuse was held yesterday at Sg
Tali School in Lumut, Kuala Belait.
Carrying the theme, "Dadah
Membawa Padah", the campaign is aimed at introducing to the
primary students the type of drugs available in the country so
they would learn to avoid it and at the same time to expose the
students to the punishment for misusing drugs and also the
consequences of taking drugs like morale and health decay.
Primary school students within
the Belait district were invited to attend the campaign with the
assistance of the concerned government departments. The
departments involved in making the campaign a success were the
Al-Islah Rehabilitation Centre, the Public Relations Department
of Brunei Police Force, Narcotics Control Bureau, Health
Department, Counselling and Guidance unit of Schools Department
and the Prisons Department.
Officiating the campaign was
the School Principle, Hj Mohd Shuani bin Hj Kadir.
