Medical, Engineering courses in India


A number of seats in Medical Pharmacy, and Engineering courses are reserved for students from friendly countries in Medical/Engineering colleges in India under the Government of India's Self-Financing Foreign Student Scheme.

These seats are also open to students from Brunei Darussalam. The courses are MBBS, B. Pharmacy/Diploma in Pharmacy courses, B.E. and Diploma in Engineering course. Some of the reserved seats are under a lower fee category, whereas many of the colleges concerned charge a higher tuition fee ranging from US$3,000 to US$6,000 per annum.

Those interested may collect application forms from the High Commission in India ('Baitussyifaa', Simpang 40-22, Jalan Sungai Akar, Bandar Seri Begawan, BC 3915). Other relevant information and details such as eligibility criteria for the various courses may also be obtained from the High Commission.

Completed application forms may be submitted to the High Commission latest by April 16, 2003. Students can also apply for nomination pending final declaration of their qualifying examination results. Nominations of such candidates will however depend on the availability of seats at the time of receipt of their mark sheets, if they are received within the prescribed time.
