Renowned M'sian beauty to host hairshow at ICC

A multi-talented individual, Maya Karin will be in Brunei Darussalam next week to host the Wella Hairshow

Brought up in Indonesia she speaks fluent Indonesian, English, German and French

Malaysia's renowned singer, actress, model and television show host, Maya Karin is set to host a Wella hairshow at the International Convention Centre in Berakas on March 1, commencing 3 pm. The hairshow, is a side event to the 'Wedding Showcase Extravaganza' which will also be held at the same place from February 28 to March 3.

Organised by Sitimas Holdings Sdn Bhd and co-organised by Enigma Envisions, the event is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Brunei Tourism Department, Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources.

Platinum sponsors of the event include Martha Tilaar Spa, Porza Bru Sdn Bhd, Kristal, QuadraVision, Mexx Vintton Sdn Bhd while Usaha Roza Rohaya and Hariza Restaurant, are the silver sponsors.

Beauty lovers are invited to enjoy the Wella Hairshow, which will showcase a comprehensive array of professional salon hair products, colour cosmetics, and prestige fragrances offered exclusively by Wella, designed to bring the best out of brides on their wedding day.

During a telephone interview arranged by organisers, Maya Karin said she was looking forward to her first visit to Brunei Darussalam.

"Apart from my planned schedules, I would also be attending a few private functions as arranged by friends there," she said.

Talking about Wella Hair products, which would be introduced at the show, she said prospective brides and grooms will have plenty of choices towards their big day.

She also said Wella has plenty of hair and beauty products which are used by many, widely celebrated by salons, consumers, celebrities, and the media alike all over the world.

Host Maya Karin is no stranger to her fans here. Born of German-Malaysian parentage in Bayreuth, Germany, on October 29, 1979, she was brought up in Indonesia. She speaks fluent Indonesian as well as English, French and German.

Before Maya embarked on her singing career, she had accumulated experience as a model for advertisements such as Pepsi, Coke and Gervene.
