Inline skating teen injured in road accident

A teenage inline skater was injured in an accident last afternoon, when he was hit by an on-coming car, while attempting to skate onto the middle of the road. The incident happened near the Jerudong Park Playground at the Jerudong Highway. The inline skater virtually flew about 15-feet away after being hit by a dark grey saloon car.

According to the driver of the saloon car, the boy was skating on the side of the road heading towards the Jerudong Sports Field.

The motorist in his late 20s suddenly hit him when the boy skated towards the middle of the road.

When the car hit him, the boy flew onto the car breaking the front windscreen. He then fell-off the side of the car breaking the right hand-side's rear mirror and was also hit by the driver's door.

The Sengkurong Police Station confirmed receiving the emergency call.
