Mass Parade To Mark 19th National Day On Sunday

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 15,000 people including 6,000 students are to take part in the mass parade marking the 19th National Day celebrations on Sunday at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien in the Brunei capital.

The Culture, Youth and Sports Permanent Secretary Dato Haji Dani said that his Ministry and its departments will facilitate several side events.

These will include a cultural fiesta and a courtesy campaign, a poem and theatre festivals, drawing contest and a photography contest exhibition as well as a weaving workshop.

The theme is of this year's national day celebration is 'Bangsa Berilmu Negara Maju', which reflects the desire to create educated Bruneians who could contribute to the nation.
