Top travel agents from Western Australia with Ms Doris Suresh,
Director of Sales at Sheraton Utama Hotel with the welcoming
committee.
More and more people in business
are taking their holidays closer to home. Therefore, due to its
strategic position, Brunei has become the new hot destination in
Southeast Asia.
Royal Brunei Airlines recently
organised a familiarisation trip for their top travel agents
from Perth, Western Australia to visit the Sultanate. This is to
better promote Brunei Darussalam as the gateway to Borneo.
As Sheraton Utama Hotel is one
of the hotels featured in the Royal Brunei Airlines' Golden
Touch Holidays package, it provided accommodation for the
visitors.
The tourists also visited
Temburong National Park, the oldest rainforest.
It is widely believed that a
first-hand experience would give people a better feel of the
products that are being sold. It has hopefully been achieved in
this case.
Accompanying the travel agents
was the Royal Brunei Airlines representative from the Western
Australia Offices, Mr Paul Lim the Sales and Marketing Manager.
Ms Doris Suresh, Sheraton Utama
's Director of Sales, led the site inspection of the hotel. The
group will go on to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah as an added
destination, before heading back home.
