Relatives greet arriving pilgrims.
The last flight for this year's
haj pilgirms safely returned to Brunei yesterday.
More than 120 haj pilgrims
advised to return to Brunei early, as the tension in the Middle
East arose, flew in.
The early return was one of the
precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Religious
Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Finance and
Royal Brunei Airline.
Yesterday's flight was the last
of the chartered flights for the haj pilgrims. Most pilgrims
have arrived earlier then scheduled.
During the past few days,
security at Brunei International Airport has been tighten. Many
members of the public have swarmed the airport to greet the
arrival of the haj pilgrims.
According to some pilgrims, the
flight was well taken care of and despite the unforeseen delay,
everything went smoothly as planned.
