Syabu Abuser Sent For Another Urine Test
By Malai FadleyRizal

Bandar Seri Begawan - A 22-year-old local man was fined $1,500 or three months jail in default for consuming Syabu and was ordered by Senior Magistrate Hj Abdullah Soefri to undergo a second urine test. A date was also set for further mention regarding the urine analysis results on April 21.

The defendant, Mohami Tahir, was among seven people apprehended by NCB officers at Jln Asmad in Tutong Garrison with regards to illegal drug related activities on December 14, 2002 at about 1.50 am.

Nothing was found during a search on that day therefore the officers brought him for investigations where Mohami admitted to committing the offence contravening section 6 (b) of the Misuses of Drugs Act. This was later confirmed when an analysis upon his urine sample taken by the Narcotics Lab resulted positive for a class A controlled drug, Methylamphetamine. (Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin)
