Iran Celebrates National Day In
Brunei

Begawan - Brunei and Iran continue to have a strong and close
relationship that is based on mutual respect and trust.
The friendship is reflected by the
close cooperation in the many international organisations and through
close collaboration and visits by officials as well as members of the
private sectors of the two countries.
Brunei Industry and Primary Resources
Minister Pehin Dato Awang Haji Abdul Rahman noted this at a reception
on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic
Republic of Iran.
The function took place at the
International Convention Centre in Berakas yesterday.
Iranian Ambassador Abdul Fasul Mohd
Ali Kani in a speech said that since the establishment of the
diplomatic relations between Brunei and Iran in 1993, both sides have
consistently promoted cooperative relations in various fields.
The exchange of high level state
visits that include the visit of His Majesty Sultan of Brunei to Iran
in 1994 and the visit of the President of Iran to Brunei in 1995 have
increased bilateral relations between the two countries.
