Brunei Ruler Targets Laggards And Lazy Bones Who Neglect Duty
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Laggards and lazy bones who escape from work
neglecting their duties are not true Muslims.
They will only invoke the anger of
Allah, the Brunei ruler, His Majesty Sultan Hj Hassanal Bolkiah
declared yesterday.
His Majesty added the true believer
is the most efficient worker because Iman (faith) guides him to work
diligently and honestly.
Because of Iman, a person would not
waste time by working carelessly and without sincerity because that is
a sin, which will invoke the anger of Allah.
He added that Iman, the true faith in
Islam, showed believers the beauty of hard work and honesty in
becoming a better person.
That way there would there be no
problem of moral decadence among the community, the ruler said in his
royal address (Titah) on the occasion of Adil Adah, the feast of
sacrifice that falls today.
Such is the beauty of Iman said His
Majesty that if everyone who possess it there would not be any
slackening among officers and workers either in the public or private
sector nor will there be any problem of moral decadence among the
community.
He said Iman helps a person to
conduct life and perform his duties properly.
The speech highlighted the key to the
secrets of Aidil Adha.
That key is Iman or faith, the ruler
reiterated. Muslims and people of the sultanate or workers either in
the public or private sector need Iman as guidance to build an
efficient, progressive and united community.
In his speech, His Majesty also
called on the people to make the Ummah, a community of the faithful,
who are efficient, united adhering to the teachings of Allah the
Almighty.
His Majesty noted that many such
characteristics make Brunei a secure and blessed nation.
The Brunei ruler called on the Muslim
Ummah to draw divine inspiration from Aidil Adha to become true
faithful and believers of the after world.

for thought encouraging the person to behave and act more proactively.
By adhering to the teaching of Islam,
the Ummah will be successful in this world and the next.

glorifying Allah the Almighty would make the soul resolute and strong.
It will nourish the Iman and bring
the people close to Allah and when one feels close to Allah everything
the person does become beautiful and righteous.
His Majesty said the rule of Iman is
to enlighten and guide people in life not only in this world but also
in the hereafter.
A person of strong faith is one who
believes in the existence of the world after death or that the life in
this world is but a bridge to the next life.

destiny brighter because the belief will make only bring about
goodness in his lifestyle and enhance cultural outlook.
