By Rena

"The Kuala Lumpur Woodwind Ensemble" entertained some 50 classical music lovers in Brunei on February 7 at the Orchid Garden Hotel, Berakas.

Pieces from Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Charles Villers Standford, Francis Poulene, Micheal Head, Udakov and Glinka who were some of the famous composers in the world from the late 12th century through the 20th century, were played during the 2-hour musical entertainment.

The pieces were being played on a piano, Oboe, Bassoon and Clarinet by Evelyn Hii from Malaysia, Sergey Gerbold and Igor Glotov from Uzbekistan and Fong Yee Seong from Malaysia respectively. They were brought to the Sultanate by the Brunei Music Society.

Classical Guitar music enthusiasts were entertained by Jason Carter, who played a Flamenco Guitar.

The Ensemble team departed the night with a piece by the name of "March in Venice".
