His Majesty the Sultan consented to send a congratulatory
message to Hajatole Eslam Seyyed Mohamed Khatami, the President
of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of the National
Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In his message, His Majesty
expressed the satisfaction with the warm and friendly relations
and deep understanding that have so long been established
between Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Majesty hoped that this
would be maintained and enhanced in the future for the good of
the two countries and people.
His Majesty also prays to Allah
Subhanahu Wata'ala that Hajatole Eslam Seyyed Mohamed Khatami,
the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will always
remain in good health and happiness and the people of the
Islamic Republic of Iran will always enjoy continued progress
and prosperity.
Meanwhile, in a similar
congratulatory message by HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Brunei's
Minister of Foreign Affairs, to his counterpart in Iran, Kamal
Kharrazi, the Prince said he was pleased to present his warmest
congratulations to Kharrazi and the government and the people of
Iran on Iran's Nationdal Day.
The Prince looked forward to
strengthen the countries' friendship and cooperation both with
the minister and through the joint commission.
