Three Youths With Penchant For
Business Premises Fined For Theft

Begawan - Three local youths aged 20 to 23 who stole from
several businesses last year, pleading guilty, and were fined nearly
$15,000 in the Magistrate's Court yesterday.
The three youths, Ak Amil Sulaiman,
Ak Evyroy Fadly Musa and Khairul Azli appeared in court yesterday
before Senior Magistrate Radin Shafiee Radin Mas Basuni. Ak Sulaiman
was represented by his counsel, Mr Ahmad Basuni.

Ali prosecuted. Ak Amil was fined $2,500 or two months' imprisonment
for each of two alternative charges he pleaded guilty which amounted
to $5,000 in fines or serve 4 months in jail.
Ak Evyroy was fined a total of $6,850
or imprisonment of 5 months and 2 weeks after he pleaded guilty to two
alternative charges and to another two charges.
PO Syed Azmal said the third
youngster Khairul Azli was fined $2,500 or 2 months in custody after
he plead guilty to a charge of theft.
It came to the consideration of the
magistrate where he ordered that Ak Evyroy and Khairul Azli's pay the
fines within three months.
As revealed in the statement of
facts, in the very early hours of the morning of August 26 last year,
Ak Amil drove his car with Ak Evyroy to CH Hobbies Co in Kg Menglait
where they later saw a wooden ladder and with it opened the toilet
window of the shop.
Both decided to park their car and
entered the said premises to commit theft.
Ak Evyroy entered through the open
window. When he saw there was no one else in the shop, he called out
to Ak Amil to get into the shop.
They then managed to steal two bags,
two CD changers, two CD players, a black capacitor, a 'rockford
fosqate' punch amplifier, a CD writer, two mouse, a wall clock, two
bottles of air filter cleaner, two woofers, a canoscan, a serpent bag,
a gold capacitor and a jacob acuvolt.
Both then left the shop and headed
towards Ak Evyroy's house in Kg Rimba. At the house, they divided up
the goods among themselves and went separate ways.
Further facts stated were that
Khairul Azli was involved with Ak Amil and Ak Evyroy to commit theft
in the very early hours of July 18 last year.
Ak Amil drove Ak Evyroy and Khairul
Azli to Elmaya Computer School in Batu Bersurat after a decision to
enter the school to commit theft.
Ak Evyroy's then entered the school
from the toilet window and opened the door for his friends to enter.
As listed in the facts, they stole a
red metal money safe, Olympus camera worth $1,800, binoculars worth
$450, 18k gold-plated pen, two computers, two printers, two DMC
Pentium computers, seven wallets and five handbags.
Furthermore, Ak Evyroy also admitted
to theft of a computer and a fan from Ria Sejati Tuition School in a
Kiulap building around July 16 the same year.
He also admitted to theft of two
cartons of Alphine cigarettes and six cartoons of Sampoerna cigarettes
from Medan Selera Enak Rasa Food Court in Jalan Tutong.
