Man Fined For Causing Hurt To Ex-Wife

Bandar Seri Begawan - Bruneian Hj Yahya Yusof was found guilty by the Magistrate's Court after a long trial for causing hurt to his ex-wife and was fined $2,500 or 3 months imprisonment yesterday.

The Police Prosecuting officer said the offence occurred on September 25 three years ago at Pusat Sejarah building and continuing thereafter at Kg Mentiri.

The Police Prosecutor told the Senior Magistrate Hj Abdullah Soefri that Hj Yahya was a first offender to causing hurt to his ex-wife Pg Hjh Rosni Pg Ismail and had no criminal record.
