Five government agencies took
the initiative yesterday by holding a forum, Drug-free Students
in an Outstanding Country, at Muda Hashim Secondary School,
Tutong.
Representatives at the event
included Narcotic Control Bureau, Royal Brunei Police Force,
Health Education and Promotion unit, Al-Islah Association,
Prison Department and various school counselling units.
The chairpersons of the
ceremony were Hajah Noni Hartiwi Hj Pawi and Mohd Hussain Mohd
Hamidon, and co-chairpersons Liew Yong Kim and Hjh Khadijah OKSW
Hj Abdullah.
Health problems accompanying
drug abuse, rehabilitation and the statistics of drug abuse in
this country were among the topics covered.
The talk ended with a
question-and-answer session where students gain further insights
into the objectives of the event.
