The Chairman of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation

A generous effort was made by
the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah to relieve the burden
of Awg Gafar Bin Matussin and Dyg Bunga Bte Matussin, who lost
all their belongings including their life savings in a recent
fire that destroyed their houses at No: 27 & 29 of Kampong
Subok in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Awg Hj Ramli,on behalf of the
fire victims, received a preliminary donation from the Sultan
Haji Hassanal Bolkiah foundation.
The donations was presented by
the Chairman of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation, Dato
Paduka Haji Abd Ghani bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Dewa Dato Paduka Hj
Abd Rahim witnessed by the Penghulu from Mukim Batu, Major Hj
Abu Bakar bin Hj Ibrahim, Ketua Kampong of Subok, Awg Hj Jais
bin Md Salleh as well as staff and officers of Sultan Haji
Hassanal Bolkiah Ffoundation. The function took place at the
premises of Ketua Kampong in Subok.
Awg Gafar Bin Matussin and Dyg
Bunga Bte Matussin were left with literally only their sarong
when the house they lived with their family, were razed in a
midnight blaze.
Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah
Foundation was established to look after the well-being of
citizens and residents and the poor and needy.
The Penghulu of Kg Dato Gandi
and Ketua Kampong of Subok were very grateful for the quick
assistance given. The foundation chairman yesterday also
inspected the victims’ house.
