Melting Pot Of Merchandise At BSB’s International Sale And Exhibition 2008

Bandar Seri Begawan - Visitors and consumers who wish to purchase a different kind of local or foreign product can head to the International Sale and Exhibition 2008, which is going on at the Bumiputra Commercial and Trade building in the capital from December 24 until January 4.

The international expo is open from I Oam until I Opm, which offers 40 booths selling local and international products that range from house appliances, fashion accessories. textiles, watches and much more.

Mr Mahmood, one of the vendors, said that they have received, "good support and response from the general public that includes locals to foreigners from China, UK, USA, Malaysia, Indonesia and some others which I don't understand their languages".

"Prices are reasonable and visitors should not be worried about the prices. Usually customers always ask for cheaper prices, which we can give

for some products but not for those of higher quality," he added.

Some of the international products have been brought in from India, Pakistan, Thailand and Malaysia.

Mr Ibrahim Ali, a Pakistani vendor, said that this is the second time that he has participated in the exhibition, who thanked the people of Brunei Darussalam for supporting and encouraging him to participate in this exhibition.

"I won't deny it, if it's not because of the people here, I won't be here selling my carpets," he said.

"There will be another exhibition on January 8 next year and I'm looking forward to participating in that, as well as many other exhibitions in the future," Ibrahim said. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
