Consumer Fair Part 3 Promises More
Surprises
By James Kon
Bandar Seri
Begawan - For the first time in a national expo, a brand new
car will be given away as its main prize.
|
|
With this in
mind, the Consumer Fair Part 3, 2009, is aiming to break the
previous record of 46,000 visitors, which will be held from
January 8 until 11 at the International Convention Centre.
The main prize will be a brand new Toyota Vios.
To win the car, visitors
will have to register themselves at the fair's lucky draw
booth and donate a minimum of 20 cents for each form.
Members of the public can fill in as many forms as they
wish, provided that they queue up for the forms. All the
proceeds collected from the lucky draw forms will be
contributed to KACA, SMARTER, Learning Ladder and Pusat
Ehsan.

support of the Ministry of
Industry and Primary Resources and the Ministry of Home
Affairs, the Consumer Fair has always received an
overwhelming response from the public since it was first
launched in 2006. This year a total of 250 exhibition
booths will be set up with most already booked by
interested exhibitors.
Mr Jason Tee, Sunlit's
Marketing and Sales Manager, is sure that January's
Conshmer Fair will attract even more visitors. |
"We are trying to break the
visitor's attendance record again, not only because of the chance to
win the Toyota Vios but also because the fair will feature 250
exhibition booths. Quality local and foreign vendors from India,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Syria and Chinese
Taipei will be here to promote their quality products. This will add
an international flavour to the fair," he explained.
Even the range of products on offer
will be improved upon this time around to include food and
beverages, toys, beauty and fashion, home appliances, home
furnishings, IT and communications, travel and tourism, as well as
banking, finance and insurance services.
The fair will also include other
activities such as the Brunei CyberGames competition, organised by
event partner Ranoadidas.com, a children's colouring contest, a
treasure hunt as well as a competition for the longest drawing in
Brunei.
Apart from a platform for local
SMEs to showcase their products, the fair also aims to benefit other
local businesses and industries. For the convenience of visitors,
shuttle buses will also be provided at the capital, Kiulap and
Gadong to ferry visitors to the ICC and back. There will also be
shuttle buses to transport visitors to and from the National Indoor
stadium. For more information of the Consumer Fair Part 3, 2009, the
