Rolex Watches Worth $25,000 Among
Items Stolen In 10 Cases

Begawan - Two Rolex watches worth over $25,000 were among the
items stolen in 10 theft cases recorded throughout the country in
the past four days.

The police
recorded four theft cases in a building in the capital, a
multi-storey car park, Kg Rimba, Lorong 3 Selatan housing
area where cash of more than $400, a bag containing a mobile
phone and cash of $30, a fan, a car gearbox, five car sports
rims and tyres went missing. A 38-year-old local was
detained in connection with one of the cases
Reports of another six
theft cases inside buildings were also lodged with the
police in Kg Sinarubai, Kiulap, electrical substation in Jln
Menteri Besar, Kg Sg Tilong building, Gadong and Manggis
shops where two drillers, hydraulic jack, a timber
equipment, a car battery, a fishing gear, two remote control
cars, two fishing nets, 60 metre |

cable, cash of $598 and
two Rolex watches worth $25,000 were reported stolen.
The police arrested
four local teenagers and men in their 30s.
A car break-in was
reported where two mobile phones and a walkie-talkie
were stolen when a worshipper parked his car at a mosque
to perform Friday prayers. |
The police also recorded two
unauthorised cash withdrawals, two runaway workers, one case of
unpaid wages, two cases of receiving a blank cheque, two rape cases
with two men in their 20s and 50s arrested, one case of signature
forgery involving a foreign man and one case of assault involving a
local.
A labour case, two misuses of drugs
cases with two men detained and the detention of 12 illegal
immigrants in two immigration raids were also reported.
The police also recorded 28
accidents, including 12 car crashes, five self-accidents and a
self-accident involving a motorcyclist. One serious injury and three
minor injuries were reported. --
