Bandar Seri Begawan - The Second leg of the "Explore Venture Race 2008" held at the Berakas Sports Complex yesterday saw the elimination of 12 out of the 32 teams that qualified during the first round.

Elimination rounds and updating of scores were conducted during the event. , Four teams who gained a tiebreaker had to face another round of challenges in order to qualify to the next leg of the race.

The event is organised by IGS College and will run until December 3. Venues selected to carry out the race include the Sultan Haj i Hassanal Bolkiah Complex and its surrounding areas in the capital, Berakas Sports Complex and Gadong. The finals will be held at the college premises in Kiulap.

Lineups of challenging games were prepared by the organising committee, which comprise KIGS students currently studying for their National

Diploma in Business and Finance.

The nature of the games consisted of adventure and race in which 32 teams of four members successfully enrolled in the four-day event. The registration was open to schools and colleges nationwide for individuals aged 15 to 25 years.

Participants were required to accomplish the objectives of the game by collecting all stamps found inside a box hidden within the designated area. Each team was given a list of clues to begin with. The first team to collect all the stamps and reach the finish line was declared as the winner. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
